This thesis explores how Security Sector Reform (SSR) actors negotiate the acknowledgment of the (post-)colonial critiques in global state-building practices. Following discussions on Whiteness, I argue that practitioners re-produce Whiteness not despite but part in through performing an attuned and committed stance to addressing these critiques. This thesis contributes to debates on SSR practices among Critical Security Studies, Whiteness Studies, and International Relations
