The UNGPs state that enterprises should respect all human rights. However, they are based on an understanding of human rights which focuses solely on their exclusionary function (i.e., to protect individuals and social processes from powerful actors). By contrast, their inclusionary function (i.e., to allow individuals to collectively determine how power is exercised in society) is largely ignored. Hence, this project investigates enterprise democracy as a missing element in the BHR regime
