Abstract

An increasing number of individuals across the world can exercise political rights in more than one country. Yet, research on the political behavior of individuals with a migratory background tends to consider countries of origin and countries of residence in isolation from each other. This PhD project places the duality of political, social, and geographical settings at its core, in order to provide a general theory of participation and preference formation in concurrent dual contexts.
