This research examines the dialectics of production and social reproduction that constitutes the economy in which we labour and live, by following one commodity, cotton garments Made in Turkey. It does so by using interviews, documentary evidence and observation, bringing to light the ways in which economies extend beyond the boundaries of markets and firms, including through the externalisation of costs for subsistence, healthcare and childcare to workers' families and communities.,
