Abstract
This Preliminary Thesis Dissertation explores how caste, food and malnutrition are intertwined and how caste perpetuates and produces malnutrition. The case of child malnutrition, it seeks to understand how the policies and programmes of malnutrition are infused with casteist ideologies that control and, influence access to food. It also sees how caste is entrenched in bureaucracy, policies and programme that ultimately affects the Dalit children's bodies making them prone to biomedicalization.
