Abstract

As part of the enquiry into national security and international law, this PTD submission consists of two chapters. Chapter 1 is devoted to developing the I.C.J's framework for understanding national security and the understanding of national security espoused by states themselves. Chapter 2 (for now) focuses solely on the relevant provisions of the LOSC which address security and adopts a stance with respect to the most contentious provisions in the backdrop of Chapter 1's framework.
