This research is about salvage: its different meanings, the theoretical directions it leads to, and how it contributes to understanding accumulation and the solutions of last resort. Among scientists in laboratories, physicians using salvage therapies in clinics, and revolutionary crowds working to salvage a crumbling political and economic system in Lebanon, each of these cases will contribute something to understanding salvage, and living in a world that always seems to be coming to an end.
