This thesis addresses a contemporary and common jurisdictional question facing different international courts and tribunals (ICTs) arising from 'Incidental Substantive Disputes' which are external substantive disputes that, although are not within the primary jurisdiction, affect the settlement of the primary dispute. This document consists of three main parts. Part I presents a detailed PhD thesis outline. Part II is a written draft of Chapter II of the PhD thesis. Part III is a bibliography.
