"This research project attempts to study innovation in China. In the first paper, we examine the impacts of the industrial policy "Made in China 2025" on Chinese listed firms' innovation activities. In the second paper, we study the role of market demand in innovation, in particular whether the size of market demand and the heterogeneity of market demand have any effect on firms' innovation activities."
