This project concentrates on the overarching question of how armed groups are constructed by different actors. Using a socio-legal approach the study asks the questions: How are armed groups constructed by a variety of actors, including the groups themselves? How are armed groups embedded in transnational financial networks? What are the judicial and regulatory responses?
