Abstract

"The ethnographic research examines articulations of the body, territory, and global markets through a seemingly trivial object: the menstrual cup. In Colombia, it follows feminist activists bringing the cup to rural areas. In Silicon Valley, a "smart cup" records menstrual flow, color, temperature... It explores a continuum of entanglements of "digital, physical, and biological boundaries" (Schwab in Braidotti 2019), examining what this reveals about configurations of capital, bodies, and space."
