Abstract
"This preliminary thesis dissertation consists of three empirical essays in international macroeconomics. The first chapter examines the credibility of fiscal policy announcements during the COVID-19 crisis. Chapter 2 looks at the role of the media in the formation of inflation expectation of markets. Finally, chapter 3 studies the dynamics of Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in crises. It explores whether "fire-sales" substitute or complement other cross-border investments?"
