Abstract
My MPT studies the idea of Alpe-Adria as a transborder community across Italy, Austria and Slovenia in a highly militarized territory during the Cold War. By combining oral history and archival sources through the lens of the borderscape concept, I will problematize the transformation of border regimes strained between cooperation and confrontation c.1960s-2010s. Further, I will uncover new trajectories in historicising the conception of space as a product of contested socio-political practices.
