Abstract

"International trade law has traditionally been seen as a"hard law" area. This view neglects the vast body of informal lawmaking in the field of international trade. This thesis intends to fill in this gap. The first chapter presents the contours of the research question, main concepts to be used, theoretical assumptions and the methodological approach. The second chapter demonstrates that informal lawmaking is widespread in international trade law and performs meaningful roles."
