This project aims to study the Iranian elites through their engagement with economic ideas and institutions since 1989. The project will focus on the attempts made to embrace new financial mechanisms in Iran that further pushed for legislative changes to secure the transition in the country. This project aims to understand how every round of transition requires the elites to negotiate for possible alliances to be made with transnational capital.
