Abstract

"Human rights violations occurred in the context of the European integrated border management engage Frontex and the EU member states. The different actors involved hand responsibility off to one another, blaming each other for the harmful consequences of their collective actions. The coordinative-role that the Frontex plays in the development of the European integrated border management challenges the very concept of responsibility. This thesis proposes to explore this challenge through the lenses of fundamental concepts of international law.
