The article examines processes of experimental subjectification in the narratives of patients pursuing clinical application of human embryonic stem cells in India to treat chronic spinal cord injury and in the narrative of the director of the clinic providing the treatment. The article addresses how the clinic's director and patients from around the globe continue to successfully pursue embryonic stem cell therapies, despite intense media speculation and scientific scrutiny labelling the clinic as a maverick experimental site. 000294922 580__ $$aIn: Ethnos. - Volume 79(2014), issue 1, pages 84-107 000294922 700__ $$aBharadwaj, Aditya 000294922 8564_ $$919502d6c-4306-499b-b157-4e52595320ce$$s374534$$uhttps://repository.graduateinstitute.ch/record/294922/files/Experimental%20Subjectification%20The%20Pursuit%20of%20Human%20Embryonic%20Stem%20Cells%20in%20India.pdf 000294922 901__ $$uAnthropology and Sociology of Development Department$$0319284 000294922 909CO $$ooai:repository.graduateinstitute.ch:294922$$pGLOBAL_SET$$pIHEID:Explore 000294922 937__ $$aARTICLE-2017-041 000294922 980__ $$aARTICLE
