Latin America has been an important actor in developing and creating international rules. The present study will offer an overview of the status of the regional and bilateral customary law in Latin America through the identification of special customary rules in the region. This research also look at the influence of the region in shaping general international law and the interpretation of general rules of international law with a Latin American perspective.
