DeMOOCratization of Education?: Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and the opportunities and challenges for developing countries

Higher education continues to play a central role in countries’ overall development (economy, productivity, general educational levels). Developing countries have demonstrated great concern about access to higher education, and about achieving Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and UNESCO’s Education For All (EFA) goals by 2015.
