Abstract

In the context of a lingering Eurocentrism, not least within academia, scholars and development professionals are increasingly calling for the decolonisation of their respective fields. However, as nationalist ideologues from Europe to Asia have shown, the challenges to effective decolonial action go well beyond intellectual intransigence: the prospects for a neo-imperialist subversion of the decolonial discourse itself remain alarmingly real.
